Potty Training..Day 3

So..I don't think I totally believe that a child can be completely potty trained in three days. We've spent three LONG days at the house. Natalie had fewer accidents today but still isn't really telling us when she needs to go or doing everything she needs to do in the potty. I got out of the house for a little while this morning and got my haircut and went to the grocery store. We also managed to go out for some fast-food for dinner..all three of us! And no accidents. But I don't feel confident enough to send Natalie back to school tomorrow. So we will try another day at home and then try school on Wednesday. I really don't want to put her in Pull-Ups and we will DEFINITELY NOT be going back to diapers..even though she asked for them a few times today. So I am feeling a bit discouraged but after some wonderful comments by friends who have gone through this recently, I am not feeling alone!
We did do some fun things today. Paul and Natalie played lots of Nintendo again. But we also used watercolor paints for the first time and played with Play-Doh. We also did more stickers and watched the Pixar short films and read lots of books. Today we got a special prize of a book with 700 Thomas the Tank Engine stickers. We didn't take a whole lot of pictures today, but here are a few!

Oh no! Here we go again!!!!

Today's prize: A Thomas book!

That's a lotta stickers!

We're still learning not to eat the Play-Doh

She started out just with the water but then figured it out!

Yay! Mommy's home!

Potty Training...Day 2

So Day 2 started off with a bang! Natalie woke up at 6 am..totally dry. First two times she let us know she had to go..but things went downhill a bit from there. She was still successful many times today but it was more from our urging her to use the potty than from her telling us she needed to go. And there are still certain things she ABSOLUTELY won't do. But we will keep trying until we get them down! Today Paul and Nat played LOTS of Nintendo. But we also did lots of stickers and made a mask out of a paper plate and tissue paper. We also finger painted for the first time and played in our tunnel. We brought out the Mega blocks and had fun building and destroying. Natalie also earned another special prize today..a necklace to match the ring form yesterday. Check out our pictures from today!

Making sure Daddy couldn't go to work today..

Potty Training..Day 1

So I'd say our first day was a success. We had 8 successes and only 4 accidents. Natalie is starting to understand what is going on, but we still have some ways to go! Paul and I gave her our undivided attention all day, as the method says to do. Paul played lots of Nintendo. And we did lots of stickers. We also made cookies and jingle bell jewelry and goofed off! And she stayed dry through her 2 hr nap. She got a sticker every time she was successful as well as a Toy Story gummy treat or some M&Ms. We're hoping that we stay dry through the night as well..we went potty twice before bed so hopefully that will help. Here are some pictures from our exploits today! Will post up pictures every day and let you know the highlights!
