Fish in the Water

So Natalie started swimming lessons this week and LOVES them. The first day we worked on blowing bubbles, kicking, going underwater and getting out of the pool. Natalie loved the kicking part and getting to jump back into the pool. Let's face it..if there is water involved, Nat likes it. Rain, pools, splash parks, baths, water fountains...this girl was born to be in the water. Her second class went great also. We did more kicking and working on climbing out of the pool. We also worked on floating on her back and she got to slide down the baby slide into the pool. Unfortunately, we have no pictures because Paul is at work when we have swim lessons. We have 2 more lessons next week. Hopefully, Paul can make it to one of them so we can get some pictures!

On a side note, things are moving along with our move. We had the inspection done on the house this week and are resolving some issues there...nothing major though. We also have been getting our mortgage straightened out and finding a moving company to move all our stuff. I'll be packing it all up but they will move it. And it looks like we may have a week to spend between them picking up our stuff and them delivering our stuff. So we will probably hang out in Texas for a bit and visit!

Our househunting trip

So our trip went really well! We found a house that we really like and our offer was accepted!! Now it just has to pass inspection and the termite inspection and we're good to go! One of us will have to go back in early July to close! And then we will all head across the country in the end of July for the final move!

Here's our house!

And here's the backyard!

And here's how we all feel after the trip due to Natalie waking up at 5 a.m. every morning and being 3 time zones away from the norm!

(This was Natalie at the park on the last day there. We got kicked out of the hotel before she got a nap in. We drove around for 2 hours exploring the area and hoping she would go out. We finally gave up and took her to the park. Wouldn't you know that the little girl who would only nap in her infant swing for the first 8 months of her life would fall asleep in the toddler swing at the park!?!?!)

So here's the lowdown on the house. It is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath house on 0.91 acres. The laundry room comes directly off the garage and then leads into the kitchen. Once you exit the kitchen you enter the dining area/living room. There is also a door leading to the master bedroom and bathroom. The dining area has a built-in with shelves and storage. The floors are hardwood in the dining area and bedroom hall. The kitchen is tile and all the bedrooms are carpeted. The living room area has carpet as well. From the living room, you have access to the deck in the back yard. As you can see from above, the backyard is HUGE!! The front entry is also into the living room area. From the front door, if you turn right, you enter the bedroom hallway. There is a full bath across from this entrance and then a bedroom off to the left and right in the hallway (so these bedrooms are on the opposite side of the house from the master). Natalie's room will be the one off to the right and at the front of the house. The other bedroom will be our guest room. It is the smallest of the bedrooms!

We are very excited about the move and had a really great time! The town is so nice and all the people we met were super friendly....now we just have to pack. YUCK!

Pool Party!

So we bought Natalie an inflatable pool so that we can have a little fun outside on these 100+ days. The first pictures are from a few days ago. Natalie has on her green and white bathing suit in these pictures. In the next few pictures (SURF bathing suit), Natalie and her friend Claire had fun splashing in the pool and playing with her toys. Enjoy!

p.s. She doesn't have a dirty face! She hit her cheek on our headboard while playing on our bed!

Teeth and Doors

In the past 2 weeks, Natalie has gotten 2 new teeth, with 2 more following closely. She now has the 4 front teeth on the top, and the 4 front teeth on the bottom. The incisor on the left just came through yesterday. She also has her first molar on the bottom right. The one on the bottom left is almost through, along with the canine on the bottom right! Hopefully this will mean that she will start to eat more and more. We are still mostly on the pureed baby foods but she does add new finger foods daily. And she is drinking 99% whole milk, with just one nursing (if any at all) at night.
We plan to cut out the last nursing after our trip to South Carolina.

Natalie has also figured out how to open the doors in our house. She can only go from the hallway into a room since that just requires her to push on the door. She hasn't figured out yet how to pull the doors open. She's also figured out that if she stands on her tiptoes she can reach the counters in the kitchen. Guess it's time to push everything to the center of the counters!

Splash Park

Since it is quite warm here today (upper 80s), we decided to take Natalie to the splash park. She loves the water and had a great time splashing around. We are going back on Friday with the Mom's group. Today it was just Mommy, Daddy and Natalie...well along with about 100 other people who were already at the park! Check out my cute bathing suit!

WHOA Natty!

The other night before bed Natalie was in a particularly silly mood. Check out these videos we caught!

This one's a bit shorter....and as I sit in the office uploading the videos, Natalie is trying to get in here. And I realized for the first time that she can now pull the handle down to open the door. She just hasn't figured out to push on it......yet.

WHOA!!!!!
