Newest Discovery

This past weekend we had Auntie Allyson, Uncle Nick and cousins Immy and Jamie with us. Natalie had a lot of fun with them (will post pictures of the cousins later). In fact, she had so much fun on Saturday, that when everyone went down for naptime, Natalie climbed out of her crib and tried to escape her room. She hasn't figured out these doorknobs yet so she was pounding on her door. The adults were enjoying lunch on our deck until Immy came to tell us that Natalie was trying to get out of her room. We all quickly realized she had climbed over the side. So we quickly converted her crib into the toddler bed form. And on Sunday morning when I went to get her, she was climbing out from underneath the crib. Not sure if she slept there all night or what!! We've ordered her a full-size mattress set so that we can convert her crib all the way to a big girl bed. Naps have been non-existent since the switch to the toddler form but she still gets her hour in her room. Here are some pictures of the toddler bed and Natalie and Immy trying it out for the first time!

Sandbox

Paul and Grandpa built Natalie a sandbox on Friday. It measures 5 feet by 5 feet. She wasn't too sure about it at first, but then Grammy showed her how to make "cakes" in the sandbox and now she loves playing in it. Here are a few pictures of her seeing it for the first time!

Natalie's Magic Spells

So lately Natalie has started patting us on the head and then mumbling a bunch of random sounds and words to us. It's like she is saying a prayer or some weird incantation over us. It makes us laugh so much! Paul thinks she wants to be a priest!
Her vocabulary is getting so big and extensive. She told Paul the other day, "All done computer, Daddy" because he was checking email and not playing Nintendo for her! And the other day in the car, as we were pulling into the driveway, Paul turned Natalie's beloved Dan Zanes off and she says "What happened music, Daddy?" over and over and over!! The sentences are really starting to come together.
We are looking forward to her getting some play time with some of her cousins in a few weeks when they come to visit! And we get to see Grammy, Grandpa, Auntie Ally and Uncle Nack (Nick) too!
