Trunk or Treat

We took our little ladybug to the Trunk or Treat at First Baptist Church tonight. Basically they have a line of cars with their trunks open and people hand out candy. You walk around in a line. They also had some games and food but they were a bit too difficult for Natalie. She did manage to get an orange Tootsie Roll and eat it (paper and all) before we could get it out of her hand. We also let her have an orange Tootsie Roll lollipop. We're hiding the rest of the candy from her and trying not to eat it all ourselves. We are heading over to some friends' house for Halloween on Saturday. Will post up more pictures then. I am also including a picture of Natalie's friend, Morgan, who was dressed as a garden gnome! SOOO CUTE!

TAG

I have been tagged by Julie. Thanks! I met Julie in elementary school I think! She was always one of the smartest kids in our class! Now she has 3 beautiful kids and a wonderful blog that I love to read because she is so honest on it!

Here's the deal with this tag:
share five things you're obsessed with and then pass the award on to the five most fabulous blogs you know.

1. SKECHERS...so they are not only cute shoes but the most comfortable ones. They have great arch support which is a must for me. And they make them in all types of shoes..sneakers, dressy shoes, boots, flip flops... It is safe to say that I own at least 10 pairs of Skechers at any given time (usually more). And I've turned Paul and his parents on to them too. If there is a Skechers outlet, it's not a pretty credit card bill!

2. Coke ... So this one has been since early childhood really. And I CANNOT drink Diet Coke. I've tried many times to make the switch and just can't do it. Coke Zero is okay but I do find myself needing my daily fix of one "real" Coke every day.

3. Jackets/Coats..FINALLY I live somewhere that I can wear all of my wonderful jackets and coats. I love them! It is another unhealthy and costly obsession that drives Paul absolutely crazy...especially when we lived in Tucson and rarely needed one. But now I have gotten to wear several of them already this year and that makes me giddy!!

4. My Cakes...So I've taken up Cake Decorating as a hobby in the last few years. And no matter how good Paul says they look, I still obsess over them and think that they aren't very good. I think it is because I have a picture in my head and then when it isn't EXACTLY the way I originally envisioned it, I obsess over how to make it that way.

5. EMAIL...I check my email a zillion times a day. Not because I get that much email or because I get much more than advertisements most of the time, but I still have to check it all the time. I even bring my iPod Touch into the playroom with me so I can check it from there.

So here are 5 wonderful women I am tagging:

A Pumpkin Pickin' We Go...

We were able to go to McBee and Macleod Farms today to pick our pumpkins. It was threatening to rain the whole time so we were lucky to go since they won't let the hayrides go if it is raining. Natalie loved the hayride the best! She kept trying to pick up pumpkins that were WAY too heavy for her! We ended up with two pumpkins..the best part was they were only $0.29 a pound! Enjoy the pictures...there are a lot!

ALL DONE!

So Natalie's room is finally done. We got her curtains redone while Nana visited a few weeks ago and then Nana and Papa bought her a dresser for her birthday. Check out the finished product!

Happy Fall!!

We are LOVING the cooler weather! Grammy and Grandpa came to visit last week and we have lots of fun with them. We went to McBee and looked at pumpkins. We went to the Farmer's Market in Florence and we went for a walk in Kalmia Gardens. Unfortunately, we forgot to bring the camera! Oh well! Here's a picture from our yard. Natalie loves playing in and with all the pine needles!

HAIR!!

It's amazing to me how much Natalie hair has grown in the last year. She almost has enough for a ponytail. For now we mostly still go with pigtails, but I thought I'd share the difference.

Nana and Papa visit & then we went to NJ

Nana and Papa came to visit last week. We enjoyed playing with them, but unfortunately Natalie got a horrible double ear infection, complete with a temperature of over 103! So we went to our first visit with the new pediatrician. It went well and they put her on Zithromax. She only had to take it for 3 days (last ones were for 10 days) and she didn't get any horrible diaper rash or other side effects. And today we went back for her recheck and both ears were clear!! She also got her flu shot today. Paul and I are going to get ours soon too!
But back to the visit. Nana and Papa stayed for 4 days and Natalie enjoyed playing outside with them. Last Saturday, we flew with Nana and Papa up to NJ to visit GG (Laura's grandmother, Natalie's Great Grandmother). The sleeping arrangements were tough but we enjoyed our visit. We got to see Uncle Tom, cousin Linnea, cousin Lizzie, Uncle Andrew and Helen and Szilvia. It was good to see everyone and we wished we lived closer so we could see them more. Natalie learned 3 new words while we were there: pumpkin, purple, and deer. And she decided her new favorite word is stuck! Here are a few pictures!
