Taste of Coker

We went to the annual Taste of Coker tonight. It is a food festival put on by Coker and all proceeds go to the Coker Athletics. Natalie had a great time running around on the Coker soccer field, and she even went up to someone on the men's soccer team and kicked the soccer ball for him. Paul and I got to taste some great food including lots of seafood, grits, and dessert! The BEST part of the whole evening was when Natalie decided to stalk the Coker mascot, a Cobra. She followed the mascot all over but if he/she turned around and she saw the face of the snake, she would run away! Too funny! Enjoy the pictures!

Checking out the grass

Trying to get a bottle of water (we tried to tell her they were out because she kept wanting the bottles and then some guy went and grabbed one so she knew there were more!!)

This picture is for Papa...see Natalie likes playing with the flags too!

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year...

Football season of course! We don't have a Michigan shirt for Natalie..although we loved watching Michigan beat Notre Dame yesterday. And we are eagerly awaiting a Texas A&M shirt from Katy (although TAMU didn't play this week). But of course we have our Cowboys jersey. Nat wore the one from last year today but we bought her a new one. This one is getting a little small! We LOVED watching our Boys beat Tampa Bay today...via our computer hooked up to our TV since the game wasn't actually shown here! Here are a few pictures of Nat in her Cowboys jersey (and one from last year).

Natalie and Jack Lane - - October 2008

The last picture was taken before church this morning. Natalie was wearing one of my old dresses and decided to add Daddy's shoes to complete her wardrobe.

And finally, it definitely looks like I will be teaching a class next semester!

Check out my new bling.

So Natalie really liked these plastic bracelets that we got for a $1 at Hobby Lobby. I got her more today when I was at Walmart and here she is showing off her new bling! The best part about it is her arms are so small that she has to hold her hands up to keep them on! The minute she puts her arms down they fall right off!

Math

So I am going to start tutoring SAT math at our church one day a week starting next week. Paul is going to fill in for me when Natalie and I go to NJ to see family. I am also going to start tutoring a high school student in Geometry. Uh...if I can remember it! It has been at least 15 years since I took Geometry!!! Also, it looks like I will be teaching a course next semester as an adjunct. It will be Intermediate Algebra. So I guess I gotta brush up on my Algebra and Geometry skills! Hopefully it won't take too long!

In other news, Natalie can now count to 10 using all 10 numbers! And she does this randomly throughout the day as well as any time we encounter steps or stairs! She can also recognize the numbers 1, 2, and 3 as well as the letters A, B, and C. Guess school is paying off for her!

21.2

We're up to 21.2 lbs!! So exciting! Glad to know that she is FINALLY gaining weight. Maybe we will finally fit into our 12 month pants for good!
