Ouch!

So after a day and a half of fussiness, we went to see Dr. Delp. After 1.5 hrs of straight screaming, I found out that Natalie has a bad ear infection in her right ear and a not as bad one in her left. Poor kid. Since she's also decided she doesn't want to take medicine this week, I decided to let the doctor's office give her the first dose as a shot. It hurts worse than normal vaccinations but since she was already hysterical, I didn't think it could get much worse. We had to wait around the office for 20 minutes after the shots to make sure she didn't have a reaction. Luckily 2 nurses came in and gave the shots simultaneously so it was over faster. She got really sleepy after the shots and seems to be a bit better this morning. Still not willing to take her medicine so one of us has to hold her down while the other squirts it down her throat. Not a pleasant experience for any of us but she needs the medicine. Hopefully she will be back to 100% soon.

Poor, sweet Natalie! I hope the ear infections are gone soon and that she warms up to the medicine.
